Snow Joe cordless snow shovels are available in two different battery systems: 24V IONMAX and 20V ECOSHARP X20.
These battery systems are not interchangeable. Always check the complete model number before selecting a replacement battery.
Do not mix battery platforms. X20 snow shovels use 20V ECOSHARP batteries and are explicitly not compatible with 24V IONMAX batteries or chargers.
24V IONMAX Battery Options
Shop Joe identifies the 24V battery family as the IONMAX battery platform. The 24VBAT, 24VBAT-LTE, and 24VBAT-XR product information describes broad compatibility with Snow Joe + Sun Joe cordless 24V IONMAX models.

Battery capacity is measured in amp-hours (Ah).
Shop Joe offers the same 24V snow shovel families in both 4.0 Ah and 5.0 Ah configurations. The battery must still belong to the correct battery platform for the snow shovel.
Can I Use a 24V Battery in an X20 Snow Shovel?
No. X20 snow shovels use 20V ECOSHARP batteries. Shop Joe specifically states that these products are not compatible with 24V IONMAX batteries or chargers.
