The Snow Joe 24V-SS10 24V IONMAX Cordless Snow Shovel requires only a few steps to connect the pole assemblies and adjust the unit for a comfortable operating position.

Before You Begin
The operator's manual lists the following items in the carton:
- Upper pole assembly
- Lower pole assembly
- 24V IONMAX lithium-ion battery
- 24V IONMAX lithium-ion battery charger
- Operator's manual
Carefully remove the snow shovel and confirm that all supplied components are present. Inspect the product for shipping damage before assembly.
How to Assemble the 24V-SS10

Open the Cam Lock
Locate the cam lock on the lower pole assembly and open it.

Connect the Upper + Lower Pole Assemblies
Slide the upper pole assembly into the lower pole assembly.
Continue sliding the upper pole into the lower pole until it clicks into place.

Close the Cam Lock
Close the cam lock to secure the upper pole assembly in position.
Assembly check: Confirm that the upper pole has clicked fully into place and that the cam lock is completely closed before using the snow shovel.
Adjust the Auxiliary Handle
After connecting the poles, adjust the auxiliary handle to a comfortable working position.

Loosen the Handle Knob
Loosen the auxiliary handle knob.

Position the Handle
Move the auxiliary handle to a comfortable working position.

Tighten the Handle Knob
Tighten the auxiliary handle knob securely.
Important: Make sure the auxiliary handle knob is tightened securely so the handle does not move or slide on the pole during use.
Adjust the Telescoping Pole Length

Loosen the Locking Collar
Turn the locking collar clockwise to loosen it.

Adjust the Pole
Slide the pole to your preferred operating length.

Secure the Pole
Turn the locking collar counterclockwise until it is tight.
Install the Battery Before Use
Once assembly and handle adjustments are complete, the battery can be installed when you are ready to operate the snow shovel.

Check the Battery
Make sure the 24V IONMAX battery has sufficient charge before use.

Insert the Battery
Slide the battery down into the battery compartment.

Lock the Battery in Place
Continue sliding the battery into the compartment until it clicks and locks into position.
Before inserting the battery: Make sure the safety switch and ON/OFF trigger switch are not engaged to help prevent accidental starting.
Final Setup Check
Before operating the 24V-SS10, confirm that:
- The upper and lower poles are securely connected.
- The cam lock is fully closed.
- The auxiliary handle is securely tightened.
- The telescoping pole locking collar is tight.
- The battery is securely locked into the battery compartment.
