Before You Begin
Carefully unpack your snow shovel and confirm the following parts are included:
- Upper pole assembly
- Lower pole assembly
- Middle pole
- Two sets of joint-fixing knobs, washers, and bolts
- Operator's manual
Safety first: Keep the snow shovel unplugged during assembly and adjustment. Inspect all parts and the electrical cord for shipping damage. Do not operate the unit if parts are missing or damaged. Keep hands and feet away from the auger.
Connect the Pole Sections
-
Fit the Upper and Middle Poles
Slide the upper pole into the middle pole, then align the screw holes (operator's manual, Fig. 1).
-
Connect the Middle and Lower Poles
Slide the middle pole into the lower pole. Align the screw holes at this joint as well (Fig. 1).
-
Secure Both Pole Joints
At each joint, insert a bolt through the aligned holes, then install a washer and joint-fixing knob on the other end. Twist the knobs until both connections are tight (Fig. 2).
Tip: If internal wiring blocks a bolt hole, carefully move the wiring to one side without pinching or damaging it.
Adjust the Auxiliary Handle
-
Loosen the Handle Knob
Turn the auxiliary handle knob counterclockwise to loosen it (Fig. 3).
-
Choose a Comfortable Angle
Rotate the auxiliary handle to a position that feels comfortable and provides a secure grip (Fig. 3).
-
Tighten the Handle
Turn the handle knob clockwise until securely tightened. The auxiliary handle should not slide or rotate around the pole (Fig. 3).
Final Assembly Check
Before use, confirm that the upper, middle, and lower poles are fully joined; both bolts, washers, and joint-fixing knobs are installed and tight; the auxiliary handle is secure; and no wiring is pinched or damaged.
Review the operator's manual before connecting power. Use a suitable outdoor-rated extension cord and a GFCI-protected circuit, keep the cord clear of the auger, and ensure the trigger switch is off before plugging in the snow shovel.
