Why are the blades not cutting efficiently? During the operation of the unit, the distance between the blade and the counterplate will become bigger, which will cause incomplete shredding. To obtain an optimum shredding result and prevent damage to the blade, the counterplate must be adjusted at regular intervals. To adjust the counterplate, follow the instruction below: Stop and unplug the unit. Turn the counterplate adjusting knob clockwise until a slight friction noise can be heard and some fine aluminum shavings fall from the ejection slot. Plug on the unit and resume working. If this does not fix the issue, the counterplate may need to be replaced. Related articles What should I do if chipping material is not being pulled in? The motor for my CJ603E is not running.
