Follow these steps to assemble your Sun Joe 24V-HT22-MAX Cordless Hedge Trimmer. Watch the assembly video, then install and secure the front handle as described in your operator’s manual.

Before You Begin
Carefully unpack your hedge trimmer and verify that the carton contains:
- Cordless hedge trimmer
- Blade cover
- Front handle
- Four front handle screws
- 24V iON+ lithium-ion battery
- 24V iON+ lithium-ion charger
- Operator’s manual with registration card
Safety first: Do not insert the battery during assembly. Keep the blade cover in place and avoid contact with the cutting blades. Do not operate the hedge trimmer until it is fully assembled. Do not use it if any parts are damaged or missing.
Assemble the Front Handle

Position the Front Handle
Snap the front handle into place on the hedge trimmer body (operator’s manual, Fig. 5).

Secure the Handle With Four Screws
Fasten the front handle to the unit using all four supplied front handle screws (operator’s manual, Fig. 6). Make sure the screws are fully secured.
Final Assembly Check
Check that the front handle is firmly attached and that all four screws are secure. The operator’s manual states that the hedge trimmer is ready for use once the screws are fully secured. Insert the battery only after assembly is complete and you are ready to follow the operating instructions.
