Sun Joe pressure washers equipped with Quick-Connect spray nozzles use a collar at the end of the spray wand to secure the nozzle. Always release the water pressure and engage the trigger safety lock before removing or changing a nozzle.
Before Removing the Nozzle
Never change or remove a nozzle while the pressure washer trigger is engaged.
Turn the pressure washer off, stop the water supply, and release the remaining water pressure before touching the Quick-Connect nozzle.
How to Remove the Quick-Connect Nozzle
-
Turn Off the Pressure Washer
Switch the pressure washer off before attempting to remove or change the nozzle.
-
Shut Off the Water Supply
Shut off the connected water supply.
For SPX6000C and SPX6001C models operating from their removable water bucket, remove the bucket or otherwise disconnect the water source as directed in the model's manual.
-
Release the Water Pressure
Point the spray wand in a safe direction and squeeze the trigger to release any remaining water pressure from the system.
-
Engage the Trigger Safety Lock
Engage the safety lock on the trigger handle before handling the nozzle.
-
Locate the Quick-Connect Collar
Locate the Quick-Connect collar at the end of the spray wand, directly behind the installed nozzle.
-
Pull Back the Collar
Place your hand over the nozzle and pull the Quick-Connect collar back toward the spray wand.
-
Remove the Nozzle
While keeping the Quick-Connect collar pulled back, remove the nozzle from the end of the spray wand.
What If the Nozzle Will Not Come Off?
Confirm that the pressure washer is off, the water supply has been stopped, all remaining pressure has been released, and the trigger safety lock is engaged. Then pull the Quick-Connect collar back while removing the nozzle.
If the nozzle still cannot be removed using the procedure above, discontinue the nozzle change and contact Shop Joe Customer Support for additional assistance.
