Get your Sun Joe 24V-1500FL-LTE-P1 cordless LED handheld spotlight ready for first use with the steps below. No tools or mechanical assembly are required; simply check the included items, charge the battery, and install it in the spotlight.

Before You Begin
Carefully unpack and confirm that your carton includes the following (operator's manual, page 7):
- Cordless LED handheld spotlight
- iON+ 24V lithium-ion battery (24VBAT-LTE)
- iON+ 24V lithium-ion battery charger
- Operator's manual with registration card
Safety first: Use the spotlight only in dry locations. Never look directly into the beam or point it toward people or animals. Do not use a damaged battery, spotlight, or charger, and keep the spotlight away from flammable materials.
Set Up Your Cordless Spotlight

Inspect the Spotlight and Accessories
Check the spotlight, battery, and charger for shipping damage. If any item is missing or damaged, do not use the product; contact Customer Care.

Remove the Battery for Charging
Press the two battery push-lock buttons and pull the battery pack out of the spotlight's battery compartment (manual, Fig. 1).

Connect the Battery Charger
Plug the supplied charger into a suitable AC outlet, then connect its charging plug to the charge socket on the battery pack (manual, Fig. 2). Charge in a dry, well-ventilated location.

Fully Charge the Battery
Allow approximately 5 hours for a full charge. The battery indicator LEDs illuminate in sequence while charging. When all three LEDs are illuminated, unplug the charger from the wall outlet first, then disconnect the charging plug from the battery. The supplied charger does not automatically shut off when charging is complete.

Install the Charged Battery
Insert the charged battery pack into the spotlight's battery compartment and make sure it is securely seated (manual, Fig. 3).

Switch On and Select a Light Mode
Hold the handle grip and squeeze the switch to turn on the spotlight. Press and release the switch repeatedly to cycle through spotlight, high floodlight, spot + floodlight, warning light (SOS), low floodlight, and OFF (manual, pages 8–9).

Adjust the Head and Loop Hook as Needed
With the spotlight off, grasp and rotate the pivoting head to one of its six positions between 90° and 180°. The loop hook can be used as an auxiliary handle or for hanging the spotlight (manual, page 10).
Helpful tip: Press the battery's charge-level button to check its remaining power. Three illuminated LEDs indicate a high charge level; one indicates the battery needs charging.
Final Setup and Safety Check
- The battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- The spotlight turns on and cycles through its five illumination modes.
- The pivoting head and loop hook are positioned as needed.
- Keep the beam away from eyes, and do not cover the illuminated lens with fabric or other materials.
- If the spotlight dims from overheating, switch it off and let it cool for approximately 10 minutes before using it again.
