Follow this guide to assemble your Sun Joe SJ-APS-2G 4V Cordless All Purpose Chemical Sprayer. Use the video tutorial and the steps from your operator’s manual to connect the spray wand, attach the hose and shoulder strap, and prepare the sprayer for use.

Before You Begin
Carefully unpack your sprayer and check that you have the following items:
- Cordless chemical sprayer with hose
- Spray wand assembly
- Battery charger
- Shoulder strap
- Operator’s manual with registration card
Safety first: Keep the sprayer switched OFF while assembling it, and inspect all parts for shipping damage. Do not operate the sprayer if parts are missing or damaged. Keep the trigger clear to prevent accidental spraying.
Assemble the Spray Wand and Hose

Attach the Spray Wand to the Trigger Gun
Insert the water outlet end of the trigger gun into the end of the spray wand. Turn counterclockwise to tighten the connection securely (operator’s manual, Fig. 2).

Connect the Trigger Gun to the Hose
Insert the inlet end of the trigger gun into the trigger gun connection on the hose. Turn to tighten securely (Fig. 3).
Assembly check: Make sure both connections are secure before using the sprayer. The spray wand and hose are now assembled.
Attach the Shoulder Strap

Thread the Strap Through the Strap Bars
Slide each end of the shoulder strap into the strap bars located at the ends of the sprayer.

Secure the Strap Buckles
Weave the strap ends securely through the strap buckles so the shoulder strap stays in place (Fig. 4).
Charge the Sprayer Before First Use
The SJ-APS-2G has an integrated rechargeable battery that may not be fully charged when unpacked.

Connect the Supplied Charger
Plug the supplied charger into an appropriate AC outlet. Remove the rubber cover from the charging socket and insert the charger plug (Fig. 1).

Check the Charging Light
The power-button light is red while charging and green when charging is complete. Maximum charge time is approximately 3.5 hours. The charger turns off automatically when the battery is fully charged.

Disconnect in the Correct Order
Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet first, then disconnect the charging plug from the sprayer.
Charging safety: Use only the charger specified for this product. Charge in a dry location, and do not charge the battery below 32°F (0°C) or above 104°F (40°C).
Before First Use
The SJ-APS-2G is designed for household outdoor use with suitable consumer-grade, water-based lawn and garden chemicals. Read and follow the chemical manufacturer’s label and safety instructions. Wear appropriate eye, skin, and respiratory protection. Do not use flammable, corrosive, or commercial/industrial chemicals.
To fill the tank, turn the sprayer off, remove the measuring cup, add water without exceeding the 1 gallon of water as directed in the manual’s filling instructions (the tank is rated at 2 gallons / 7.6 L), measure and add the chemical solution as directed by its label, rinse the cup, and tighten it back onto the tank. For full filling and operating instructions, consult the operator’s manual.
When ready to spray, press the ON/OFF button to enter standby mode, then squeeze the trigger to spray. Release the trigger and press the ON/OFF button to turn the sprayer off. Never point the nozzle at people, animals, or electrical equipment.
