Pole Won’t Extend, Feels Jammed, or Needs Assembly

If you're having trouble extending or assembling your Snow Joe SJBLZD, don’t worry — this guide walks you through the steps to safely assemble, release, and adjust your telescoping snow broom.

Q1: My pole is stuck and won’t extend — what should I do?

If your pole feels jammed or refuses to extend, follow these steps:

1. Hold the bottom section of the pole firmly.

2. Twist the upper section counterclockwise to unlock the telescoping mechanism.

3. Extend the pole to your preferred length.

4. Twist clockwise to lock the pole securely.

Q2: What if twisting still doesn’t loosen the pole?

If the pole remains stuck after loosening attempts:

• Ensure you're twisting the correct joint.
  Some models include more than one locking section.

• Try small back-and-forth twisting motions while gently pulling outward.

• If still jammed, lightly tap the top of the pole with a rubber mallet
  to help release the internal lock.

Important Notes

• Avoid using metal tools or applying excessive force.

• Do not hammer directly on the locking threads.

• Excess pressure can damage or deform the locking mechanism.
