How to Request the Replacement Filter

Before Removing or Installing the Filter
Use only for cold ash: Never vacuum burning, smoking, glowing, or hot ash. Allow ash to cool completely before use.
- Turn the ash vacuum off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- Remove the container cover.
- Turn the wire filter basket counterclockwise and remove it.
- Remove the pleated filter from the motor and filter housing beneath the container lid.
- Place the replacement pleated filter onto the housing.
- Fit the wire filter basket over the pleated filter and turn it clockwise until it stops.
- Confirm that the basket tabs cover and depress the safety-stop switch before use.
Do not operate without both components: The pleated filter and wire filter basket must be correctly installed. Never bypass or modify the safety-stop switch.
Cleaning the Existing Filter
If the pleated filter is undamaged, it may be cleaned and reused:
- With the unit unplugged, remove the wire filter basket and tap it gently to release accumulated residue.
- Remove the pleated filter and gently tap out loose dust.
- Use a clean, dry paintbrush or hand brush to remove remaining debris.
- Reinstall the pleated filter and wire filter basket correctly before operating the vacuum.
Keep the pleated filter dry: Do not wash the pleated filter with water. Replace it if it is torn, damaged, or no longer filters properly after dry cleaning.
