Generator When preparing the generator for storage, allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes then follow the guidelines below. 1. Store for less than 1 year – Fully close the propane cylinder valve, then disconnect the propane hose. 2. Store for 1 year or more: • Fully close the propane cylinder valve, then disconnect the propane hose. • Remove spark plug. • Put a tablespoon of engine lubricant into the spark plug cylinder. Turn the engine slowly with the recoil starter grip to distribute the lubricant. • Reinstall spark plug. • Change engine lubricant. Store the generator indoors in a cool and dry place. Do not place the generator under heavy objects. Provide a plastic sheet or absorbent pad below the generator to catch any drips of lubricant. WARNING! Propane cylinders must be stored outdoors out of reach of children and must not be stored in a building, garage, or any other closed-in area.
