Step 1: Check the Charger + Power Connection
24V IONMAX batteries may be supplied with different charger styles. Follow the procedure for the charger you are using.

Connect the Charger
Connect the charger to an AC outlet that matches the voltage listed on the charger's rating plate.

Insert the Battery
Seat the battery securely in the charging dock.

Check the Charger Indicator
On approved 24VCHRG-QC and 24VCHRG-DPC charging systems, the charger indicator shows the charging status.

Adapter-Style Chargers
Some 24V IONMAX products use a charger adapter that connects directly to the battery's charging socket rather than a charging dock.
Connect the charger to the appropriate AC outlet, then connect the charger plug to the battery as shown in the operator's manual.
During charging, the battery LEDs illuminate progressively. Charging is complete when all 3 battery LEDs are illuminated.
Do not rely on a charger-base red or green light unless your charger is designed with that indicator. Charging indicators vary by charger type.
Step 2: Check the Battery Charge Level
Press the charge-level button on the battery and check how many LEDs illuminate.

Step 3: If the Battery Is Not Charging

Check the Power Supply
Make sure the charger is connected to a power supply with the voltage shown on its rating plate.

Check the Charger + Battery Condition
Do not use a charger with a damaged cord or a battery that is damaged, swollen, deformed, cracked, or showing other unusual symptoms.

Let a Warm Battery Cool
A battery may become warm during heavy use. Allow it to cool to room temperature before charging.

Check the Charging Temperature
Charge and use the battery and charger in dry conditions within the temperature range specified in your product's operator's manual.

Reconnect the Battery Securely
Make sure the battery is fully connected to the charger or charging plug as shown for your charger model.
Do not open, modify, or attempt to repair a battery pack or charger.
Do not touch, bend, or attempt to adjust the battery terminals.
What If the Battery Stopped Powering the Tool?
24V IONMAX batteries include protection against conditions such as overloading and overheating.
If the protective cutoff switches the equipment off, stop operating the tool and allow the battery to cool before continuing.
If a battery protection cutoff has activated, do not repeatedly press the tool's ON/OFF control.

How Do I Remove the Battery?
Turn the product off. Press the battery's push-lock button or buttons, then pull the battery pack out of the battery compartment.
How Do I Install the Battery?
Slide the battery into the product's battery compartment until it clicks and locks into position.
Some higher-voltage IONMAX products require two or more 24V batteries. Follow the operator's manual for the exact number and battery capacity required by your product.
Battery + Charger Care
- Use only the compatible 24V IONMAX charger specified for the battery or product.
- You do not need to fully discharge an IONMAX battery before recharging it.
- The battery can be topped off before a job or after use.
- Recharge the battery when you notice a drop in tool performance.
- Follow the charging instructions for the specific charger listed in your product's operator's manual.
