General Troubleshooting for Battery and Charger

Compatible Battery Models This troubleshooting guide applies to all Sun Joe® and Snow Joe® 24V IONMAX series batteries. This includes, but is not limited to, the following models:

• 24VBAT-LTW
• 24VBAT-LTE
• 24VBAT-LTX
• 24VBAT-XR
• 24VBAT-LT
• 24VBAT 
  
  If your battery is part of the 24V IONMAX family, please proceed with the steps below.

Step 1: Check the Charger Connection

Before checking the battery itself, ensure the charger is working correctly:

1. Slide your battery firmly onto the charger until it clicks into place.

2. Observe the indicator light on the charger base:

   • Solid Red Light: Excellent! The charger is receiving power, and your battery has started charging. Proceed to Step 2: Check the Battery Status.

   • No Light: The charger may not be receiving power. Try the following:

     • Plug the charger into a different wall outlet.

     • If the light still does not turn on, the charger may be faulty. Contact the ShopJoe support team for assistance.

Step 2: Check the Battery Status

After confirming the charger is working, check the battery’s current charge level:

1. Remove the battery from the charger.

2. Press the small status button on the battery.

3. Count the indicator lights that turn on:

   • Three Lights: Battery fully charged. If your device still isn’t working, the issue may be with the main unit itself.

   • Two Lights: Battery partially charged. Fully charge soon for best performance, but you can continue troubleshooting the main unit.

   • One Light: Battery low. Place it back on the charger and allow it to charge completely before using your device again.

   • No Lights: Battery may be fully drained or have an internal issue. Charge for at least 30 minutes and then press the status button again to recheck.

      

Battery Installation and Removal:

• To remove the battery: Push the lock buttons on both sides of the battery simultaneously and pull the battery pack out from the compartment. The battery should come out easily once both lock buttons are pressed at the same time.

• To insert the battery: Slide the battery into the compartment until you hear it click. Ensuring the battery clicks into place confirms proper installation and allows the unit to operate safely.
