If your snow blower won’t start or stops during use, try these steps in order.

Before You Begin

For your safety:

• Turn the unit OFF

• Remove both batteries

• Wait for all moving parts to stop completely

Never attempt to clear snow or debris while the unit is powered on.

Important: Power Requirements

This snow blower operates using two 24V Snow Joe® batteries.
The unit will not operate with only one battery installed.

Issue: Snow Blower Will Not Turn On

Step 1: Check Battery Installation

• Make sure both batteries are installed

• Remove and reinsert each battery until it clicks into place

• Ensure the battery compartment is fully closed

Step 2: Check Battery Charge

• Press the button on each battery to check the charge level

• If batteries are low, charge them fully before use

Step 3: Allow Batteries to Reach Normal Temperature

• Batteries stored in very cold or very hot conditions may not work right away

• Let batteries rest indoors for 30–60 minutes before charging or using

Step 4: Check the Charger

• Plug the charger into a working outlet

• The charger indicator light should turn red while charging and green when fully charged

• If no light appears, try a different outlet

Step 5: Use the Safety Switch Correctly

The snow blower will only start when used properly:

1. Press and hold the safety lock button

2. While holding it, squeeze the ON/OFF switch

Releasing the safety lock too early will prevent the unit from starting.

Issue: Snow Blower Starts, Then Stops

• Make sure both batteries are fully charged

• Check that batteries are seated securely

• Avoid forcing the unit through deep, heavy, or icy snow

• Use slow, steady forward pressure

The snow blower may automatically shut off to protect the motor if it becomes overloaded.

Issue: Auger Is Jammed

Snow or debris can block the auger and stop operation.

How to Clear a Jam Safely

1. Turn the unit OFF and remove both batteries

2. Clear snow, ice, or debris from the auger area

   • Never use your hands

3. Wait at least 60 seconds

4. Reinstall both batteries

5. Restart the unit

The snow blower will resume normal operation once the obstruction is cleared.

• Store batteries indoors when not in use

• Always direct snow away from people, vehicles, and windows

• Keep children and pets away from the work area

• Do not operate the unit in standing water or wet conditions
