3 LED Indicator Lights
Use for 24V, 40V, built-in batteries, and 20V batteries equipped with 3 LEDs
The battery pack is equipped with a push button for checking the charge level. Simply press the push button to read the battery charge level from the LEDs of the battery indicator.
| Indicator Lights | Charge Level | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|---|
Battery charge level is high. | The battery has a high charge level. | The battery is ready to use. |
Battery charge level is decreasing. | The battery is losing charge during use. | Stop discharging the battery as soon as possible. |
Battery is flat. | The battery charge is very low. | Stop discharging the battery immediately and charge the battery. Otherwise, the battery's service life will be greatly shortened. |
20V and 100V Batteries — 4 LED Indicator Lights
Use for 20V batteries with 4 LEDs and 100V batteries
20V batteries equipped with a 4-light indicator and 100V batteries use 4 indicator lights to show the remaining charge: 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.
| Indicator Lights | Battery Charge Level | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|---|
100% charge | The battery is fully charged. | The battery is ready to use. |
75% charge | The battery has about three-quarters charge remaining. | The battery can continue to be used. |
50% charge | The battery has about half charge remaining. | Continue use as needed, but charge the battery soon if more runtime is needed. |
25% charge | The battery has about one-quarter charge remaining. | Charge the battery as soon as possible. Do not continue using the battery until it is fully depleted. |
20V Batteries — No Battery Indicator
Some 20V batteries do not have a push-button charge indicator or battery-level LEDs.
For these batteries:
- Follow the charging procedure for your exact battery and charger.
- Check the charger indicator, if equipped, for charging status.
- Follow the charging time listed for your exact product.
- Do not use the 3-light or 4-light battery charts for a battery that does not have an indicator.
