Use the Cordless Tiller + Cultivator section for battery-operated tiller issues, including battery power, charging, blade movement, and the pole/head connection issue. Use the Electric Tiller + Cultivator section for corded electric tiller issues, including power connection, extension cord setup, blade movement, and vibration concerns. The battery-operated cordless tiller and the electric tiller have different power sources, connection points, and safety steps.Safety First Always turn the tiller + cultivator OFF before troubleshooting. For cordless models, remove the battery. For electric models, unplug the unit from the outlet and disconnect the extension cord. It may look like a flat, round insert inside the tube. Ask the customer to use long-nose pliers or tweezers.Carefully insert the tool into the pole.Grip the edge of the plastic cap.Gently pull the plastic cap out without forcing it.Do not push the cap further inside the pole.Avoid damaging the inside of the pole.After the cap is removed, keep the tiller + cultivator head lock unlocked.Insert the tiller + cultivator head into the end of the pole assembly until it clicks in place.Flip up the tiller + cultivator head lock to lock the head in place.Important Do not force the pole or head together. If the head still will not connect after the cap is removed, stop troubleshooting and contact customer support with the model number ready.Unit Does Not StartRemove the battery and inspect the tool, battery, and accessories for damage.Check the battery charge level using the battery indicator button.If only 1 level monitoring LED is lit, stop work immediately and charge the battery.Slide the battery into the battery compartment until it clicks and locks into position. Press and hold the safety lock switch.While holding the safety lock switch, squeeze the ON/OFF trigger.Once the tool is running, release the safety lock switch.If the unit still does not start, remove the battery and check that the battery, charger, and tool are not damaged.Important Do not continue pressing the ON/OFF trigger if the protective cut-off has activated. This may damage the battery pack.Battery Will Not Charge or Runtime Is LowRemove the battery from the battery compartment by pressing the push lock buttons.Confirm the charger is connected to an appropriate AC power outlet.Connect the charger plug into the battery charge socket.Allow the battery to charge. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.Unplug the charger when all 3 LEDs are illuminated.If the charge level button does not appear to work, insert the charger and charge as needed.Do not charge the battery in rain, snow, damp locations, or wet locations.Allow a warm battery to cool to room temperature before charging.Battery Storage Reminder Store the battery pack and charger at room temperature away from moisture. For off-season storage, recharge the battery pack every 6 months to about 50% capacity to help maintain battery performance.Blades Do Not Rotate or Tilling Performance Is PoorTurn the unit OFF and remove the battery.Wait for the blades to stop completely.Check that the work area is clear of stones, sticks, wire, and other foreign objects.Do not till very wet soil. Wet soil can stick to the working tool and prevent proper blade rotation.Do not force the product into extremely hard or resistant soil.Check the underbody and blades for soil, dirt, foliage, or debris.Use a brush, wooden stick, or other appropriate tool to remove debris. Never use bare hands.Check that the air vents are clear and unobstructed.Inspect the blades for wear or damage.If blades need replacement, use the correct replacement blade model 24V-TLR-BLD.Important Wear protective gloves when working near the blades. The tilling blades are sharp and can cause severe personal injury if handled incorrectly.Abnormal Vibration or Unit Hit an ObjectRelease the ON/OFF trigger to stop the unit.Remove the battery.Wait for the blades to stop completely.Let the unit cool completely.Inspect the unit thoroughly for damage.Check the blades, motor shaft area, guards, and visible hardware.Do not restart the unit until any damage has been repaired.If damage is found or the vibration continues, contact customer support.⚡ Electric TillerUnit Does Not StartMake sure the unit is fully assembled before connecting it to power. Confirm the electric tiller + cultivator is connected to a working 120V outlet. Use a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord suitable for outdoor use.Check that the extension cord is connected to the appliance cord.Make a loop in the extension cord and place it around the extension cord restraint hook.Check that the voltage matches the information on the rating label.Push and hold the safety lock button with your thumb.While holding the safety lock button, squeeze the trigger switch with your fingers.Once the tool is running, release the safety lock button.If the unit still does not start, inspect the extension cord for wear or damage.Important If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced to avoid a safety hazard. Contact customer support for assistance. Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord.Extension Cord Disconnects During UseTurn the unit OFF.Unplug the unit from the power supply.Make a loop in the extension cord.Push the loop up through the hole in the handle.Place the loop around the extension cord restraint hook.Connect the extension cord to the appliance cord.Restart the unit using the safety lock button and trigger switch.Important Use only an outdoor-rated extension cord that is the proper size and type for the product.
