Safety First Always turn the mower OFF before troubleshooting. For electric models, unplug the mower and disconnect the extension cord. For battery-powered models, remove the battery or batteries and remove the safety key if applicable. Wait for the blade or reel to stop completely before inspecting the mower. Examine the blade area for obstructions, buildup, or debris that may prevent the blade from rotating properly. Adjust the cutting height if it is set too low. A very low cutting height can strain the motor. Make sure the correct outdoor extension cord is being used and that the cord is securely connected. Tilt the handle down into the operating position. Press and hold the safety lock button while pulling the switch lever to start the mower. Important Mow at a suitable speed so the blade can cut the grass effectively. Remove the handles and the grass catcher. Turn the mower reel upside down to expose the cutting bar. Insert a piece of paper between the cutting bar and the reel blades. Slowly turn the wheel by hand to check whether the reel blades are cutting the paper properly. Important Use caution when working near the reel blades. Keep fingers away from the cutting bar and reel blade area while turning the wheel by hand. 🚜 Self-Propelled Lawn Mower 24V-X2-21LMSP Use this section only for the 24V-X2-21LMSP self-propelled lawn mower. Remove the safety key, then re-insert it. Press the handle release button and lower the handle. Extend the handle until it clicks on both sides. Set the speed to low. Press down the triangle button for 10 seconds without pulling back on the lever. Release the triangle button. Press the triangle button down again and pull back on the switch lever. How to Use the Self-Propelled System Start the mower using the steps above. While holding the switch lever against the handle with your left hand, push the self-propel lever to the handle with your right hand. Continue operating with both hands holding the self-propel lever and the switch lever together with the soft grip. Important Keep the speed set to low while testing. Confirm the handle is fully extended and clicked into place on both sides before starting the mower.
