The Sun Joe 24V-CRLM15 Cordless Reel Mower combines a 360-watt motor with a 15-inch, five-blade RAZOREEL cutting system for cordless lawn care with four selectable cutting heights.
Meet the 24V-CRLM15
Why It Stands Out
A 360-watt motor powers the 15-inch, five-blade steel reel at up to 1,000 RPM.
Four positions provide 0.6-inch, 1.0-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2.0-inch cutting heights.
The mower operates on the 24V IONMAX battery system without gas, fumes, or a power cord.
The included 11.9-gallon grass collection bag helps collect clippings during mowing.

Assembly
Remove the battery before assembly. Do not insert the battery until the mower is fully assembled and all knobs, bolts, and clips are secure.
- Install the lower handle frame. Insert both ends into the sockets on the mower base and secure them with the lower handle knobs.
- Attach the middle handle bars. Align them with the lower frame and secure them using two handle knob and bolt sets.
- Attach the upper handle frame. Align it with the middle bars and secure it using the remaining two handle knob and bolt sets.
- Secure the cable. Fasten the cable to the handle with the two cable clips so it remains clear during mowing.
- Assemble the grass collection bag. Insert the support rod into the bag tube and fasten the protective profiles around the support rod.
- Attach the collection bag. Lift the ejector flap, connect the bag sockets to both ends of the roller-bar shaft, and hook the strap to the center of the lower handle frame.
Getting Started and Operation
- Inspect the mowing area. Remove stones, sticks, wires, toys, and other objects that the blades could pick up and throw.
- Set the cutting height. With the battery removed, pull the height-adjustment knobs on both sides and place both sides at the same 0.6-inch, 1.0-inch, 1.5-inch, or 2.0-inch position.
- Install the charged battery. Confirm the switch lever is released, slide the battery into the compartment until it locks, and close the cover.
- Start the mower. Press and hold the safety lock button, pull the On/Off switch lever toward the handle, and release the safety lock button after the mower starts.
- Mow at a steady walking pace. Slow down in thick or tall grass and remove no more than one-third of the total grass height in one pass.
- Stop the mower. Release the On/Off switch lever and wait for the blades to stop completely before lifting, tilting, carrying, or inspecting the mower.
Operate safely: Do not mow wet grass. Mow across slopes rather than up and down, and do not operate on excessively steep slopes. Keep hands, feet, children, bystanders, and pets away from the cutting area.
Maintenance, Care and Storage
- Prepare the mower. Stop the motor, remove the battery, and wait for every moving part to stop before cleaning, adjusting, or inspecting the mower.
- Remove debris after use. Clear grass and debris with a dry cloth or hand brush. A damp cloth may be used, but do not allow water into the mower.
- Avoid running water. Do not wash the reel mower with running water or a pressure washer, and do not use harsh solvents or cleaning agents.
- Inspect the hardware and bag. Keep nuts, bolts, screws, and handles tight, and check the collection bag regularly for wear or damage.
- Check cutting performance. With the battery removed and the mower positioned securely, place paper between the reel and cutting bar and turn the wheel by hand. The blades should cut the paper evenly.
- Adjust the cutting bar only when needed. If the paper cuts intermittently, use the supplied hex key to turn the nearest adjustment bolt clockwise approximately one-eighth of a turn. Do not overtighten.
- Store the mower and battery correctly. Keep the mower in a dry, locked indoor location. Store the battery and charger in a cool, dry place away from humidity, direct sunlight, heat, and freezing temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Remove the battery before checking the mower, cleaning the cutting area, or performing maintenance.
Mower Fails to Start
Possible Causes
- Battery is discharged or not installed securely.
- The safety lock and switch lever were not operated in the correct sequence.
- The mower is clogged with grass or debris.
- The grass is too tall.
Solutions
- Charge the battery and reinstall it until it locks into place.
- Press and hold the safety lock button before pulling the On/Off switch lever.
- Remove the battery, clear the cutting area, and confirm the reel can move freely.
- Raise the cutting height before restarting.
Mower Stops During Operation
Possible Causes
- The battery is discharged.
- The grass is too tall or the mower is clogged.
- The battery or mower circuitry is too hot.
Solutions
- Recharge the battery.
- Remove the battery, clear debris, and raise the cutting height.
- Allow the battery and mower to cool before restarting.
Mower Does Not Cut Evenly
Possible Causes
- The lawn is rough or uneven.
- The reel blades are not sharp enough.
Solutions
- Adjust the cutting height to suit the lawn.
- Have the blades sharpened or replaced when necessary.
Mower Is Difficult to Push
Possible Causes
- The grass is too tall or heavy.
- The cutting height is too low.
- The reel-to-cutting-bar adjustment is incorrect.
Solutions
- Raise the cutting height and mow at a slower pace.
- Perform the paper test and adjust the cutting bar carefully as described under maintenance.
Mower Vibrates Abnormally
Possible Causes
- The motor shaft may be bent.
- The reel may be unbalanced.
- The adjustment bolts may be loose.
Solutions
- Stop the mower immediately, remove the battery, and inspect for visible damage.
- Tighten loose adjustment bolts.
- If damage or imbalance is suspected, stop using the mower and contact support instead of attempting an internal repair.
Battery Does Not Charge Normally
Possible Causes
- The battery is not seated correctly in the charger.
- The battery is too hot or too cold.
- The charger is not connected to a suitable outlet.
Solutions
- Remove and reinstall the battery in the charger.
