Why It Stands Out
Power + Portability
The included 24V IONMAX 2.0 Ah battery makes the compressor portable for home, auto, camping, and travel.
The air chuck, tapered adapter, sport ball needle, and Presta adapter cover common small inflation jobs.
Display + Control
The LCD shows pressure in PSI, BAR, or kPa and supports preset automatic shutoff.
The light provides added visibility and stays on for about 60 seconds after the power button is pressed.

Assembly
- Check the kit contents. Unpack the compressor and confirm that all items listed above are included.
- Inspect the components. Check for shipping damage before use. Do not operate with damaged parts; contact Shop Joe support for assistance.
Getting Started + Operation
Before You Inflate
Do not overinflate: Never exceed the pressure specified by the tire, vehicle, or item manufacturer. The compressor’s 120 PSI maximum is not the recommended pressure for every item.
- Inspect the air hose, air chuck, adapters, battery, and compressor before use.
- Do not use the compressor if the hose leaks or a component is damaged.
- Use only for small inflation tasks. It is not intended for high-volume items such as boats, pools, rafts, or large air beds.
- Verify vehicle tire pressure with a calibrated gauge before driving.
Battery + Charging
Before first use: The battery is shipped partially charged. Charge it fully before operating the compressor.
- Remove the battery. Press the push-lock button and slide the battery out of the compressor.
- Connect the charger. Plug the charger into a compatible indoor outlet, then connect the charger plug to the battery’s charge socket.
- Monitor the indicator lights. The three battery LEDs illuminate in sequence while charging. Charging may take up to approximately five hours.
- Disconnect after charging. When all three LEDs remain illuminated, unplug the charger from the outlet first and then disconnect it from the battery.
Charging reminder: The charger does not automatically switch off when the battery is fully charged. Unplug it when charging is complete.
Battery Charge Indicator
| Indicator | Charge Level |
|---|---|
| Three LEDs | Charge level is high |
| Two LEDs | Charge is decreasing; recharge soon |
| One LED | Battery is flat; stop use and charge immediately |
Adapter Guide
| Connection | Use |
|---|---|
| Air chuck | Standard Schrader-type tire valve stems |
| Tapered adapter | Small valves on pool floats, toys, and similar small inflatables |
| Sport ball needle | Sports balls and items requiring a needle adapter |
| Presta valve adapter | Bicycle tires with Presta valve stems |
Starting + Inflating
- Install the battery. Slide the charged battery into the compartment until it clicks securely into place.
- Turn on the display. Press the power button below the LCD. The LED work light also turns on for approximately 60 seconds.
- Set the target pressure. Use the plus or minus buttons to select the desired shutoff pressure. Follow the pressure specified by the vehicle, tire, or item manufacturer.
- Attach the air chuck or adapter. Before starting inflation, push the air chuck over the valve stem and lower the clamp until it locks. For a tapered adapter or sport ball needle, insert the adapter into the chuck and lock the clamp before connecting it to the item. Use the Presta procedure below for Presta valves.
- Start inflation. Press the trigger. The current pressure appears on the digital display while the compressor operates.
- Allow automatic shutoff. The compressor stops when it reaches the preset pressure. Press the trigger to switch off the machine before removing the air chuck.
- Remove the connection carefully. Lift the clamp and disconnect the air chuck or adapter. The connector and metal parts may be hot after use.
Using the Presta Valve Adapter
- Open the Presta valve. Loosen the small locking nut at the top of the valve stem.
- Install the adapter. Thread the Presta adapter onto the valve with its larger open end facing the wheel.
- Attach the air chuck. Clamp the chuck securely onto the adapter and inflate to the tire manufacturer’s specified pressure.
- Restore the valve. Remove the chuck and adapter, then tighten the Presta valve locking nut.
Digital Display + Duty Cycle
| Display / Condition | Meaning |
|---|---|
| LVP | Low-voltage protection; charge the battery before continuing |
| OCP | Over-current protection; stop operation and allow the compressor to rest before restarting |
| Display turns off | The LCD shuts off after approximately 60 seconds of inactivity |
| Pressure not reached | The pump automatically shuts off if it does not reach the selected pressure within 15 minutes |
Automatic-stop reminder: The 15-minute shutoff does not replace the operating and cooling limits below.
Allow cooling time: For general operation, do not run the compressor for more than five minutes continuously. Allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before restarting. At 120 PSI, use a cycle of no more than 70 seconds on followed by at least five minutes off.
Maintenance, Care + Storage
Remove the battery first: Take the battery out before cleaning, changing adapters, storing, or performing maintenance.
- Keep the ventilation slots free of dust and debris.
- Wipe the housing with a soft cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with soapy water.
- Do not use brake fluid, gasoline, petroleum products, alcohol, ammonia water, or strong solvents on plastic parts.
- Inspect the hose, air chuck, and adapters for damage, leaks, or poor fit before each use.
- Press the air hose into the storage area on top of the compressor.
- Return the adapters to the built-in side storage areas.
- Store the compressor, battery, charger, and accessories in the supplied storage bag in a clean, dry indoor location.
Troubleshooting
Compressor Does Not Turn On
Possible Causes
Battery is discharged or not fully seated, or the digital display is off.
Solutions
Charge the battery, reinstall it until it clicks, and press the power button below the LCD before using the trigger.
Battery Does Not Charge
Possible Causes
Loose charger connection or a battery that is still warm after use.
Solutions
Allow the battery to reach room temperature, then reconnect the charger adapter, outlet plug, and battery charge plug securely.
Display Shows LVP or OCP
Possible Causes
LVP indicates low battery voltage; OCP indicates that over-current protection activated.
Solutions
Charge the battery for LVP. For OCP, stop operation and allow the compressor to rest before restarting.
Compressor Runs but the Item Does Not Inflate
Possible Causes
Incorrect, blocked, loose, or poorly seated adapter, or an air chuck that is not locked.
Solutions
Choose the correct adapter, clean it, and secure the air chuck or adapter before trying again.
