What’s in the Box
- AJV1000 cordless handheld auto vacuum
- 2-in-1 nozzle and brush attachment
- USB charging cable and charger adapter
- Operator’s manual and registration card
Safety Before Use
- Switch the vacuum off before installing or removing the attachment, emptying the tank, cleaning the filter, or inspecting the unit.
- Do not operate with a damaged housing, charging cable, switch, dust tank, or filter.
- Keep the air openings clear and keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other body parts away from openings.
- Charge indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area and use the supplied charging equipment.
Charge the Vacuum
-
Connect the charger
Plug the charger adapter into an appropriate indoor AC outlet, then connect the supplied USB cable to the charging socket on the vacuum. The vacuum may also be charged from a suitable USB port.
-
Allow up to four hours
The charge indicators illuminate during charging. Do not leave the vacuum connected indefinitely; the charger does not switch off automatically when charging is complete.
-
Disconnect before use
Unplug the charging cable from the vacuum and outlet before operating the unit.
Operate the Vacuum
-
Prepare the unit
Remove the nozzle cap. Confirm that the HEPA filter and dust tank are installed correctly and locked in place.
-
Add the attachment if needed
With the vacuum switched off, fit the 2-in-1 nozzle onto the vacuum opening. Use the release button to slide the brush into position.
-
Vacuum dry debris
Hold the unit by its handle, switch it on, and keep the nozzle about 0.4 in (1 cm) above dry, lightweight debris. Do not press the nozzle into the surface or block the air opening.
-
Switch off after use
Turn the vacuum off, empty the dust tank when needed, and replace the nozzle cap before storage.
Empty the Dust Tank and Clean the Filter
-
Remove the dust tank
Switch the vacuum off and point the nozzle downward. Twist the dust tank clockwise and pull it away from the motor housing.
-
Remove the filter
Lift the HEPA filter out and discard the debris from the tank.
-
Clean as needed
Tap or gently brush debris from the filter. If rinsing is necessary, use clean water and allow the filter to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours. Never reinstall a wet filter.
-
Reassemble securely
Place the dry, undamaged filter into the tank. Refit the tank to the motor housing and twist it counterclockwise until it locks.
Maintenance and Storage
- Wipe the motor housing with a clean, dry cloth. Do not immerse it in water.
- Wash the removed dust tank with water when needed and dry it completely before reassembly.
- Keep the air openings unobstructed and inspect the tank, filter, seal, attachment, and charging equipment for damage.
- Empty and clean the vacuum, replace the nozzle cap, and store it indoors in a dry, locked location away from children.
- Do not store the battery fully discharged. Recharge the unit at least once every six months during extended storage.
Troubleshooting
The vacuum will not start
Check: The battery may be discharged, the unit may be overheated, or the power button may be damaged.
Try: Charge the battery, allow the vacuum to cool completely, and try again. If the switch is damaged or the unit still will not start, stop using it and contact support.
Suction is weak or decreasing
Check: The dust tank may be full, the HEPA filter or air opening may be clogged, or the battery may be low.
Try: Switch off the vacuum, empty the tank, clean and fully dry the filter, clear the openings, and recharge the battery.
The motor housing feels hot or the vacuum stops
Check: Extended use, a full tank, or restricted airflow can trigger overheat protection.
Try: Switch off the unit, empty the tank, clean the filter and openings, and let the vacuum cool before restarting.
The battery will not charge
Check: Confirm that the USB connections are secure, the outlet or USB port works, and the unit is not too hot.
Try: Reconnect the cable, use a verified power source, and let the vacuum cool. If charging still fails, contact support.
Dust escapes or filtration is poor
Check: The HEPA filter may be missing, wet, clogged, or damaged, or the dust tank may not be locked correctly.
Try: Install a clean, completely dry filter; replace it if damaged; and lock the tank securely.
Liquid was collected accidentally
Action: Switch the vacuum off immediately and do not continue using or charging it. Keep it away from electrical sources and contact Shop Joe support for guidance.
