Assembly Overview
Fit the wheel axle
Remove the wheel nuts and washers from the axle, insert the axle through the two supporting legs, then reinstall the washers.
Install the wheels
Place each wheel onto the axle, secure with the wheel nut, and tighten so the wheel can still rotate freely.
Attach the wheel caps
Press each wheel cap firmly into the center of the wheel.
Attach the stand assembly
Turn the main body upside down and secure the standing assembly with wheels to the bottom of the main body using the 4 nuts.
Return upright
Turn the unit upright on its wheels and confirm it is stable before use.
Starting + Stopping
Secure the extension cord
Use the extension cord restraint hook located near the appliance cord to help prevent accidental disconnection.
Start in forward mode
Press the forward end of the forward/reverse switch, then press the ON button.
Stop the unit
Move the forward/reverse switch to the middle position, then press the OFF button.
Wait for complete stop
Wait until all moving parts have stopped before leaving, cleaning, clearing, or inspecting the unit.
Basic Shredding Guide
Hang the collection bag
Attach the collection bag handles onto the two collection bag hooks before starting.
Feed material slowly
Insert approved yard debris into the hopper through the feeding funnel. Add only enough material to prevent blockage.
Use the paddle if needed
If material needs help moving through the funnel, use the supplied paddle. Do not use hands, sticks, or other objects.
Let the machine work at its pace
Keep hold of branches until they are automatically drawn in, and do not overload the chipper/shredder.
Finish with dry branches
Keep a few dry branches for the end of the session to help clear material through the unit.
Let material fully exit before turning off
Only switch the unit off after all shredding material has passed through the ejection slot.

Overload Protection + Jam Clearing
Turn off and wait
If power cuts out, turn the unit off and wait at least 1 minute before restarting.
Press the reset button
Press the reset button on the control panel.
Use reverse mode
Push the reverse end of the forward/reverse switch, then press the ON button to help move jammed branches back out of the feeding funnel.
Restart forward mode
After jammed material is cleared, return to normal forward operation using the starting instructions.
Counterplate Adjustment
Stop and unplug the unit
Turn the chipper/shredder off and disconnect it from power before adjusting.
Adjust slowly
Turn the counterplate adjusting knob clockwise slowly until a slight friction noise is heard and fine aluminum shavings fall from the ejection slot.
Resume use
Reconnect power and continue operation after the adjustment is complete.
Care + Maintenance
Clean after each use
Use a warm damp cloth and a soft brush to clean the chipper/shredder after operation.
Do not spray with water
Never spray, hose down, or wash the unit with water. Do not use detergents or solvents.
Keep vents clear
Make sure ventilation slots are clean and free of debris.
Keep openings clean
Make sure the feeding funnel and ejection slot are clean and clear of waste material.
Check hardware
Make sure all nuts, bolts, and screws are tight and secure before use.
Storage
Disconnect from power
Unplug the wood chipper + shredder before storing.
Clean before storage
Clean the unit with a damp cloth or hand brush and remove debris from the feeding funnel and ejection slot.
Inspect for wear
Check for worn, loose, or damaged parts. Pay special attention to the counterplate and visible hardware.
Store indoors
Store in a dry, clean, cool area out of reach of children. Do not store next to corrosive materials such as fertilizer or rock salt.
Inspect the extension cord
Wipe the extension cord clean and replace it immediately if it is cut or damaged.
