Safety First
Battery + Charger Guide

Remove the battery
Press the push lock buttons and pull the battery pack out of the battery compartment.
Plug in the charger
Insert the charger plug into an appropriate electrical wall outlet. The green power light should illuminate.
Slide the battery into the charger
When the battery is seated, the red charging light will illuminate.
Wait for full charge
When the charger light turns green, the battery is fully charged. A fully discharged battery charges in about 1 hr 50 min under normal conditions.
Remove the battery
When charging is complete, slide the battery backward out of the charger.
Assembly
Fit the safety guard
Slide the tabs of the safety guard into the slots on the trimmer head and push until it clicks into position.
Secure the safety guard
Lay the trimmer on the ground with the trimmer head facing upward, then secure the guard with the two supplied screws.
Install the edger guide wheel
Slide the guide wheel into place from above and press firmly until secure.
Install the edger guide + flower guard
Lightly spread the guard by hand, fit the curved parts into the motor housing slots, then release.
Fit the auxiliary handle
Set the handle to a comfortable working position, close the cover, insert the bolt, and tighten the knob clockwise.
Starting + Stopping
Check the cutting head
Before starting, make sure the trimmer head is not contacting any object.
Insert the battery
Slide the battery pack into the battery compartment until it snaps into position.
Start the tool
Press and hold the safety lock button with your thumb, then squeeze the ON/OFF trigger switch.
Release the safety lock
Once the tool powers on, release the safety lock button and continue holding the trigger.
Stop the tool
Release the trigger switch and remove the battery from the battery compartment.
Adjustments
Adjust the telescoping pole
Remove the battery, turn the telescoping locking coupler clockwise to unlock, adjust the pole length, then turn the coupler counterclockwise to lock.
Adjust the trimming head angle
Press the multi-angle head adjustment button to select 0°, 15°, 30°, or 45°.
Convert to edging
Turn off the tool, remove the battery, press the trimmer/edger head locking button, then rotate the trimmer head to 90°.
Trimming Tips
Hold the tool correctly
Hold the rear handle with your right hand and the auxiliary handle with your left hand. Keep the rear handle around hip height.
Keep the head parallel to the ground
The trimmer head should contact the material to be cut without the operator needing to bend over.
Use the tip of the line
For best cutting near walls, fences, and high grass, move slowly so the tip of the nylon line does the cutting.
Cut tall grass from top down
Take small “bites” from the top to the bottom to reduce wrapping and help the tool maintain speed.
Trim only dry grass and weeds
Avoid wet grass and slippery conditions.
Edging
Turn off and remove the battery
Always remove the battery before converting from trimming to edging.
Remove the flower guard if needed
If the edger guide + flower guard prevents the cutting line from contacting the soil, remove it before edging.
Rotate the head
Press the trimmer/edger head locking button and turn the head to 90°.
Reinstall the battery
Press the safety lock button, then squeeze the trigger.
Walk slowly and steadily
Hold the tool with both hands and move your body instead of only your arms for a straighter edge.
Move backward around edges
Move the unit in a backward direction when edging to help avoid damage.
Advancing the Cutting Line
Turn off the tool
Release the trigger and remove the battery.
Press the brake button
Press the brake button and pull the cutting line.
Match guard length
Repeat until the line reaches the length of the safety guard.
Resume trimming or edging
Reinstall the battery and continue operation.
Replacing the Spool + Clearing Jams
Remove the spool cover
Press both release tabs on the spool cover and pull the cover straight off.
Remove the spool
Lift the spool out of the hub and remove jams, dirt, grass residue, or remaining tangled line.
Insert the spool
Reinsert the existing spool or install a new pre-wound spool.
Feed the line
Insert each line end through the eyelet on each side of the hub and gently press the spool down.
Reinstall the spool cover
Press the release tabs into their slots and push down until the cover clicks into place.
Maintenance + Care
Wipe clean after use
Use a dry cloth to clean the trimmer + edger. Plastic parts may be cleaned with mild soap and a damp rag.
Do not use water spray or chemical cleaners
Do not allow liquid to get inside the tool.
Keep ventilation slots clear
Keep motor ventilation slots clean and free from debris.
Store line properly
To help prevent cutting line from drying out, store spare pre-wound spools or bulk line in a resealable plastic bag with a tablespoon of water.
Storage
Clean before storing
Clean the trimmer + edger thoroughly before storage.
Store dry and secure
Store in a stable, safe, dry location out of reach of children.
Do not rest the guard on the floor
Hang the tool by the upper handgrip so the guard does not touch anything. Resting the guard against a surface may alter its shape.
Protect the battery and charger
Store the battery pack and charger in a cool, dry place. Ideal battery storage is around 77°F / 25°C and charged to at least 40%.
Troubleshooting Guide
Use these quick checks for common 24V-ST14 concerns. Always remove the battery and wait for the cutting line to stop before inspecting or clearing the tool.

- Battery is not inserted correctly

- Spool housing cannot rotate freely

- Check that the battery is charged and fully seated
- Remove the spool and clean the slots
- Carefully remove grass, weeds, or other debris
