Start Here: Before First Use
Unpacking & Assembly

Check the carton contents
Confirm the trimmer + edger, guard, three screws, auxiliary handle and knob, edger guide, battery, charger, four trimmer lines, and manual are present and undamaged.

Install the auxiliary handle
Position the handle on its bracket, insert the handle knob, and tighten it securely at a comfortable working angle.

Install the safety guard
Fit the guard to the motor housing as shown in the manual and secure it with all three supplied screws.

Install the edger guide / flower guard
Insert both ends of the guide into the small holes on the motor housing until fully seated.

Inspect the assembled tool
Verify that the guard, guide, spool cover, handle, pole, and adjustment knobs are secure before installing the battery.
Battery Charging

Remove the battery
Press the battery push-lock and pull the battery out of the compartment.

Connect the charger
Plug the charger into a suitable AC outlet, then connect the charger plug to the battery's charge socket.

Watch the indicator
The charger indicator is red while charging and turns green when charging is complete.

Disconnect in the correct order
Unplug the charger from the wall outlet first, then disconnect the charger plug from the battery.
Fit, Reach & Head Adjustments

Set the auxiliary handle
Loosen the handle knob, rotate the handle to a comfortable position, and retighten the knob securely.

Set the pole length
Unlock the shaft adjustment knob, extend or shorten the telescoping pole within its 36.6-48.4 inch range, then lock the knob firmly.

Set the trimming angle
Press the multi-angle head adjustment button, move the motor housing to 0, 15, 30, or 45 degrees, and release the button to lock the head.

Confirm every lock
Gently check the handle, pole, and motor housing. Do not operate if a component moves after it is locked.
Starting, Trimming & Stopping

Prepare the work area
Remove stones, sticks, wire, and other debris. Wear eye protection, non-slip gloves, sturdy footwear, and suitable clothing.

Install the charged battery
Slide the battery into the compartment until the push-lock clicks securely into place.

Start with both controls
Press and hold the safety button first, then squeeze the On/Off switch to start the trimmer.

Trim with the line tip
Hold the head about 10-30 degrees to the ground and sweep slowly from side to side. Let only the line tip contact grass.

Handle tall grass in small sections
Work from the top down and take small bites. Do not force the head into dense growth or drag the spool hub on the ground.

Stop safely
Release the On/Off switch, wait for the line to stop completely, then remove the battery before carrying, checking, or storing the tool.
Edging Mode

Power off and remove the battery
Wait until the nylon line has stopped completely before converting the tool.

Lower the edger guide
Flip the edger guide / flower guard down so it can track along the edge.

Rotate the cutting head
Press the head locking button, rotate the head 90 degrees into the edging position, and release the button to lock it.

Confirm the head is locked
Do not install the battery until the housing is fully seated in the 90-degree position.

Guide the edge
Use the guide near borders, walls, or fences and move backward along the edge while keeping the line away from hard surfaces.
Auto-Feed, Spool Service & Line Jams

Advance line automatically
Release the On/Off switch, wait at least two seconds, and restart. Each stop-and-start cycle advances approximately 1/4 inch of line until it reaches the guard's cutting blade.

Remove the battery for spool work
Wait for all movement to stop, turn the tool over, press both spool-cover release tabs, and lift off the cover.

Remove and clean the spool
Lift the spool out and clear grass, soil, and tangled line from the spool, cover, and housing.

Free a jammed line
Unwrap approximately 6 inches (15 cm) of line and route it through the exit slot without crossing or pinching it.

Reinstall the spool
Align and press the spool into place until it clicks, then refit the cover until both release tabs lock.

Trim to operating length
Reinstall the battery and briefly run the tool so the guard blade safely cuts excess line to the correct length.
Safe Operating Practices
Wear proper protection
Use safety glasses with side shields, non-slip gloves, sturdy footwear, and clothing that will not catch in moving parts.
Keep people and pets clear
Stop work if anyone enters the area. The cutting line can throw debris at high speed.
Avoid hard objects
Do not strike wire, rocks, fences, concrete, trees, or other hard surfaces with the nylon line.
Keep the tool dry
Do not use or leave the trimmer, battery, or charger in rain, moisture, or wet conditions.
Remove the battery before service
Disconnect power before adjustment, line handling, clearing a blockage, cleaning, inspection, transport, or storage.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Storage
Clean without spraying
Wipe the housing with a dry cloth or a rag lightly dampened with mild soap. Never spray, rinse, immerse, or use solvents.
Clear the vents and guard
Remove grass, soil, and debris from the ventilation openings, motor housing, guard, spool cover, and guide after use.
Keep spare line flexible
Store spare nylon line in a sealed plastic bag with a small amount of water, following the manual's storage guidance.
Store securely
Remove the battery and keep the clean, dry tool in a safe place out of children's reach. Do not rest the tool on the safety guard; hang it from the upper handgrip when practical.
Troubleshooting Guide
Release the switch, remove the battery, and wait for the line to stop before checking the spool, guard, motor housing, pole, or cutting head. Perform only the safe checks below.
Trimmer Will Not Start
Possible Causes
- Battery charge is low
- Battery is not fully seated
- Battery is overheated
- Safety button was not held while the switch was squeezed
Solutions
- Fully charge the battery with the specified charger
- Remove and reinsert the battery until it clicks
- Let a hot battery cool to room temperature
- Press and hold the safety button first, then squeeze the On/Off switch
Trimmer Runs Briefly, Stops, or Vibrates Excessively
Possible Causes
- Battery charge is low or the battery is overheated
- Grass or debris is clogging the head, spool, or vents
- The tool is overloaded in heavy growth
- Spool is damaged, cracked, or not seated correctly
Solutions
- Recharge the battery or let it cool
- Remove the battery and clear the head, guard, spool, and vents
- Trim tall or dense grass in small sections
- Re-seat or replace a damaged spool before restarting
Line Will Not Advance
Possible Causes
- Line is tangled, jammed, dry-fused, or empty
- Spool or cover is not seated correctly
- The switch was restarted without the required pause
Solutions
- Remove the battery, open the spool, and free or replace the line
- Re-seat the spool and lock both cover tabs
- Release the switch, wait at least two seconds, and restart
- Do not bump the cutting head on the ground
Line Breaks or Will Not Hold
Possible Causes
- Tool is being used below 50°F (10°C)
- Line is striking abrasive or hard surfaces
- Incorrect line diameter is installed
- Nylon line has become dry and brittle
Solutions
- Operate only at 50°F (10°C) or warmer
- Use the line tip and avoid walls, concrete, rocks, and fences
- Install 0.063 in. (1.6 mm) nylon line
- Store spare line in a sealed bag with a small amount of water
Motor Stops in Edging Mode
Possible Causes
- Cutting head is not fully locked at 90 degrees
- Motor housing or guard is clogged
- Battery connection was interrupted
- Edger guide is not lowered
Solutions
- Remove the battery and lock the head fully in edging position
- Clear grass and debris from the housing and guard
- Re-seat the battery until it clicks
- Lower the edger guide before continuing
Smoke Appears or the Motor Stops After Smoking
Possible Causes
- Motor was overloaded
- Ventilation openings are blocked
- An internal electrical or motor fault occurred
Solutions
- Release the switch immediately and remove the battery
- Do not restart the tool after smoke appears
- Clear external vents only after the tool cools
- Arrange inspection by qualified service personnel
Battery Will Not Charge
Possible Causes
- Charger or battery connection is loose
- Battery or charger is damp
- Battery was stored uncharged for an extended period
- Temperature is outside 41°F-104°F (5°C-40°C)
Solutions
- Reconnect the wall plug and battery charge plug firmly
- Let all components dry completely before charging
- Charge the battery after use and during long-term storage as directed
- Move the charger and battery into the approved temperature range
Telescoping Pole Slips During Use
Possible Causes
- Shaft adjustment knob is not fully tightened
- Dirt or grass is trapped around the locking area
- Locking components are worn or damaged
Solutions
- Remove the battery and retighten the shaft adjustment knob
- Clean and dry the pole and locking area
- Stop using the tool and arrange qualified service if the pole still slips
