Assembly
Before assembly: Do not insert the batteries or safety key until assembly is complete. Do not use a partially assembled mower or one with damaged parts.
- Raise the lower handle. Lift it from the storage position and align the arrow on the mower body with one of the three height lines on each latch wheel.
- Lock the lower handle. Turn each latch clockwise and flip it up to secure the selected position.
- Attach the upper handle. Fit it over the lower handle, insert the supplied bolts through the aligned holes, add the washers and latches, then screw and flip up the latches.
- Secure the cable. Clip both supplied cable clips onto the handle to hold the cable in place.
- Attach the bag handle. Insert its two tabs into the slots on the collection bag and press firmly until it clicks.
- Fit the collection bag. Lift the ejector flap, hook the bag onto both sides from above, and release the flap so it rests on the bag.
Getting Started
- Charge both batteries. Slide them into the dual-port charger until locked; red lights indicate charging and green lights indicate a full charge. A fully discharged pair requires up to 1 hour 50 minutes.
- Prepare the mowing area. Remove stones, sticks, wires, toys, and other objects, and keep children, pets, and bystanders safely away.
- Set the cutting height. With the batteries and safety key removed and the blade stopped, move the height-adjustment lever outward and place it in the desired slot from 1.4 to 3 inches.
- Install the power sources. Confirm the On/Off buttons are released, insert both charged batteries and the safety key, and close the battery-compartment cover.
- Start the mower. Keep the mower away from foreign objects, press and hold the safety-lock button, squeeze any On/Off switch button, then release the safety-lock button once the mower starts.
- Mow safely. Walk—never run—behind the handle, use a slower pace in tall or thick grass, and mow across slopes rather than up and down.
- Stop the mower. Release the On/Off button and wait for the blade to stop completely before tilting, carrying, adjusting, inspecting, or emptying the bag.
Helpful tip: Do not start in tall grass. For overgrown grass, begin at a higher cutting position and mow again at the desired height.
Maintenance, Care & Storage
- Before cleaning or inspecting, stop the mower, remove both batteries and the safety key, and wait for all moving parts to stop.
- After each use, remove accumulated grass and debris with a dry cloth or hand brush. A damp cloth with mild, non-abrasive soap may also be used.
- Do not use harsh solvents, running water, or high-pressure water, and do not allow water into the mower.
- Keep handles dry and clean, and check nuts, bolts, and screws for proper tightness before each use.
- Inspect the grass bag frequently. Stop using it and replace it with a genuine part if it is worn or damaged.
- For storage, remove the batteries, safety key, and grass bag; set the mower to its lowest cutting height; clean it; and inspect it for loose, worn, or damaged parts.
- Store the mower indoors in a dry, clean, cool area away from children, fertilizer, and rock salt. Do not cover it with a solid plastic sheet.
- Store fully charged batteries at least 40% charged in a cool, dry location, ideally around 77°F (25°C), away from humidity and direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
The mower fails to start
