Assembly — Connecting the Poles
Do not insert the battery until assembly is complete. Accidental starting can cause serious injury.
- Lay the unit on a level surface. Position the upper pole section, center/middle pole section, and lower pole section so they can be connected without twisting the internal wire.
- Insert the upper and lower pole sections into the center pole. Insert both sections into the center/middle pole section and push firmly.
- Secure the lower pole connection. Insert the lower bolt through the lower pole section while carefully moving the inner wire aside, then secure the bolt with the joint-fixing knob.
- Secure the upper pole connection. Repeat the bolt-and-knob installation for the upper pole assembly while keeping the inner wire clear of the bolt path.
- Check both pole connections. Make sure both joint-fixing knobs are tight and the internal wire is not pinched between the pole sections.
Internal wiring reminder: If the wire inside the pole blocks the bolt path, carefully move it to one side before inserting the bolt. Do not pinch or force the wire between the pole sections. If excess internal wire makes the pole sections difficult to join, keep the battery removed, disconnect the upper and lower pole sections (and the middle section, if applicable), and lay the parts on a flat, level surface. Start the pole assembly again from the beginning, following the steps above. Keep the internal wire clear of the connections; do not pull, cut, pinch, or force it.
Positioning the Auxiliary Handle
- Remove the battery. Wait until the blade has come to a complete stop.
- Loosen the handle knob. Rotate or move the auxiliary handle to a comfortable position.
- Tighten the handle knob securely. Make sure the auxiliary handle does not move or slide on the pole.
Getting Started
- Inspect the area first. Remove doormats, boards, wires, stones, toys, and other objects the rotor could pick up and throw.
- Confirm the handle is assembled. Make sure all three pole sections and the auxiliary handle are secured.
- Prepare a compatible 24V IONMAX™ battery. Charge the battery before use if needed.
- Insert the battery. Slide the battery into the battery compartment until it clicks and locks into position.
- Start the machine. Press and hold the safety lock switch, then squeeze the trigger switch. Once the machine starts, release the safety lock switch.
- Clear at a comfortable pace. Move forward slowly enough to clear the path completely and slightly overlap each pass.
- Stop the machine. Release the trigger switch and wait for the rotor to stop before removing the battery.
Operating tip: For efficient clearing, throw snow downwind. Hold the snow shovel at a slight angle to direct discharge to the left or right.
Surface reminder: The operator's manual identifies paved surfaces as the intended use. Do not attempt to clear gravel or crushed-rock surfaces.

Possible Cause
- The internal wire is blocking the screw hole or bolt path.
Solution
- If excess wire still prevents assembly, disconnect the upper and lower pole sections (and middle section, if present). Place the sections on a flat, level surface and restart the pole assembly from the first step, keeping the internal wiring clear and avoiding any pinching or pulling.
- Keep the battery removed during assembly.
- Insert the upper and lower pole sections into the center pole section.
- When inserting each bolt, carefully move the inner wire to one side if it blocks the bolt path.
- Secure the lower and upper connections with the supplied joint-fixing knobs.
- Do not pinch or force the internal wire between the pole sections.

- Battery is depleted, too cold, or not fully seated.
- The safety switch and trigger were not engaged correctly.

- Charge the battery indoors and reinstall it until it clicks.
- Allow a very cold battery to return to a suitable operating temperature.
