Assembly
Before assembly: Remove the battery and wait for all moving parts to stop.
- Join the pole sections. Align the upper and lower pole sections, taking care not to pinch the internal wire, and secure them with the supplied hardware.
- Install the auxiliary handle. Position it on the pole at a comfortable working height and tighten its knob securely.
- Check the assembly. Confirm all fasteners are tight and the battery compartment, safety switch, trigger, scraper, and auger are undamaged.
Getting Started
- Charge the battery. Charge the included battery indoors with its designated IONMAX charger; for the CT model, use a compatible 24V IONMAX battery and charger.
- Prepare the area. Remove mats, boards, wires, stones, and other objects, and keep people and pets at least 11 yards away.
- Install the battery. With the trigger released, slide a charged battery into the compartment until it clicks securely.
- Start the shovel. Hold both handles firmly, press the safety-lock switch, and squeeze the trigger switch.
- Clear the snow. Walk at a steady pace through light, fluffy snow, slightly overlapping each pass and directing discharge away from people, windows, vehicles, and traffic.
- Stop safely. Release the trigger, wait for the auger to stop completely, and remove the battery before carrying, inspecting, cleaning, or storing the shovel.
Helpful tip: Clear fresh snow soon after it falls. Heavy, wet, or compacted snow can reduce performance.
Maintenance, Care & Storage
- Remove the battery and wait for the auger to stop before cleaning or inspecting the unit.
- After use, allow the shovel to run briefly to help prevent the rotor blades from freezing, then remove remaining snow with a brush or clean-out tool.
