Assembly
- Remove the shipping cap. Take the cap from the top of the pole and retain it for storage.
- Expose the connection holes. Unscrew the handle knob and extend the pole until the small holes are visible.
- Attach the rake head. Depress the small buttons at the end of the handle and insert the handle into the roof rake head until it seats in place.
- Secure the braces to the head. Use the supplied hex key to fasten both metal braces to the rake head with the two short hex screws.
- Secure the braces to the pole. Thread the long hex screw through both braces and the pole, then tighten the locking nut with the supplied open-end wrench.
- Set the handle length. Rotate the handle knobs clockwise to loosen them, extend the pole to the desired length, and rotate the knobs counterclockwise to lock the sections.
Getting Started
- Inspect the rake. Confirm the head, braces, screws, locking nut, pole sections, and handle knobs are present, undamaged, and securely fitted.
- Choose a safe position. Remain on solid ground and keep clear of the area where snow or debris will fall.
- Adjust the pole. Turn each handle knob clockwise, extend only as far as needed, and turn the knobs counterclockwise to secure the pole.
- Place the blade on the roof. Guide the rake head onto the snow or debris without climbing onto the roof.
- Pull material toward the roof edge. Use controlled strokes and allow the cleared material to fall away from you and other people.
- Shorten the pole after use. Loosen the knobs, retract the sections carefully, lock them, and reinstall the retained shipping cap for storage.
Maintenance, Care & Storage
- Remove snow, moisture, leaves, and debris from the rake head, braces, pole, and locking knobs after each use.
- Allow all components to dry completely before storage.
