Do not use the blower if a listed item is missing, damaged, or appears to have been damaged in shipping. Start Here: Before First Use STOPKeep the battery out of the blower until the selected nozzle is fully installed and the work area is ready. Remove the battery before attaching or checking a nozzle, clearing the air inlet, cleaning, servicing, transporting, or storing the blower. 1 Charge Fully charge the 5.0 Ah battery with the included charger. › 2 Choose Select the round nozzle for focus or flat nozzle for wider cleanup. › 3 Lock Align the notches, slide on, and twist until the nozzle clicks. › 4 Blow Insert the battery and use a controlled side-to-side sweep. Battery Charging Remove the battery Press the push-lock button and pull the battery pack out of the blower. Connect the charger Confirm the charger rating is compatible with the outlet. Plug the charger adapter into an appropriate AC outlet, then connect the charging plug to the battery charge socket. Watch the charger indicator The charger light is red while charging and turns green when charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 6-8 hours. Disconnect in the correct order When the light turns green, unplug the charger from the wall outlet first, then disconnect the charging plug from the battery. LEDBattery-level guide: One LED is approximately 25%, two are 50%, three are 75%, and four are 100%. BATTERYRecharge when blower power begins to drop; do not intentionally run the pack completely flat. If the depleted battery is warm, place it in a cool location for 30 minutes to 1 hour before charging. Install a Blower Nozzle Confirm the battery is removed The switch must be released, the battery removed, and the impeller completely stopped before a nozzle is attached or checked. Choose one nozzle Use the round nozzle for focused airflow or the flat nozzle for a wider air pattern. Align the notches Match the nozzle notches with the slots on both sides of the blower body. Slide and twist to lock Push the nozzle onto the blower body, then twist until it clicks securely into place. NOZZLENever operate the blower without a nozzle securely installed. The manual does not recommend disassembling the nozzle after installation; contact an authorized service provider for repairs. Starting & Stopping SAFEWear eye and hearing protection, non-slip footwear, long pants, and a long-sleeve shirt. Use a dust mask in dusty conditions. Keep bystanders away and never aim the nozzle toward people, pets, windows, vehicles, or loose debris that may ricochet. Inspect the blower and work area Confirm the selected nozzle is locked, the air inlet is clear, and the blower is in good condition. Remove objects that may be thrown and secure loose clothing, jewelry, scarves, and long hair. Insert the charged battery Slide the battery into the compartment until it clicks and locks into position. Start the blower Press the ON/OFF switch all the way down and hold it while operating. Stop the blower Release the switch and wait for the impeller to stop completely before setting the blower down, inspecting it, or removing the battery. 5 SECWait at least five seconds after stopping before restarting. Rapid start/stop cycling can create excess heat and damage the DC motor. Choosing the Right Nozzle Nozzle Air Pattern Best Uses Round Focused airflow Crevices, corners, keyboards, grills, gutters, workbenches, and vehicle areas Flat Wide airflow Leaves, grass clippings, light debris, patios, porches, garage floors, and light snow TIPUse the nozzle that keeps debris controlled. Keep the outlet several inches above the surface and avoid directing material toward people or property. Blowing Tips 1 Use stable footing Operate only from ground level. Keep a firm grip on the handle and never use the blower from a ladder or unstable support. 2 Sweep side to side Hold the nozzle several inches above the ground or work surface, move it from side to side, and advance slowly while keeping the debris pile in front of you. 3 Prepare stubborn debris Use a rake or broom to loosen material before blowing. In dusty outdoor areas, lightly dampen the surface when appropriate. 4 Protect people and property Blow toward a safe, open area away from children, pets, open windows, freshly washed vehicles, and solid surfaces that may cause ricochet. 5 Use only in suitable conditions Do not expose the blower to rain or wet conditions. Do not blow burning or smoking material, and do not use the tool in an explosive atmosphere or when lightning is possible. Maintenance & Storage STOPRemove the battery before every cleaning, inspection, maintenance, or storage task. Wear protective gloves and do not service the blower while the motor is running or hot. 1 Keep the air vents clear Regularly remove dust and debris with a dry rag or brush. Never cover the air vents during operation. 2 Clean plastic carefully Use mild detergent on a damp cloth if needed. Do not use caustic cleaning agents and never allow water to contact the tool. 3 Inspect before storage Check for worn, loose, or damaged parts. If vibration, noise, or damage is present, stop using the blower until it has been inspected or repaired. 4 Store without the battery Keep the blower, manual, and accessories in a secure, dry, well-ventilated place that children cannot access and away from corrosive agents. 5 Recycle the battery responsibly Follow federal, state, and local recycling rules. Cover the battery terminals with electrical tape before disposal to prevent a short circuit. View Product Page → Operator's Manual → Frequently Asked Questions Do the eight color SKUs perform differently? No. The WHT, RED, PNK, GRN, BRY, BLU, BLK, and AQM SKUs are color variants of the same X20-HHB-5A blower platform. Each uses the same 5.0 Ah battery, charger, controls, two nozzles, and operating specifications. Can I use a 24V IONMAX battery or charger? No. This blower is designed for the 20V ECOSHARP® system. Use only a compatible X20 battery and charger; 24V IONMAX batteries and chargers are not compatible. Why does the product say 20V Max when nominal voltage is 18V? A fully charged battery reaches an initial no-load voltage of 20V. Under typical operating load, the battery's nominal voltage is 18V. Is product registration required for warranty coverage? No. Registration is encouraged because it can make customer support easier, but the operator's manual states that failure to register does not diminish warranty rights. The product includes a 1-year limited warranty for qualifying household use. Related articles Sun Joe X20-PRU-2A 20-Volt ECOSHARP Cordless X20 Pruner
