Assembly — Connecting the Poles
Keep the battery removed while assembling the snow shovel.
- Slide the upper pole onto the lower pole. Push the upper pole into position on the lower pole.
- Align the screw holes. Rotate or position the pole sections until the hardware holes line up.
- Keep the internal wiring clear. If the wiring inside the pole is in the way of the bolt, carefully move it to one side. Do not pinch the wiring between the pole sections.
- Insert the curved head bolt. Pass the curved head bolt through the aligned pole holes.
- Install the saddle washer and knob. Secure the pole connection using the saddle washer and knob shown in the operator's manual.
- Check the connection. Make sure the pole is secure and the internal wiring is not trapped before installing the battery.
Unable to assemble the handle because of an existing cord? The official manual instructs you to carefully move the wiring inside the pole to one side if it blocks the bolt path. Do not cut, disconnect, pinch, or force the internal wiring.
Positioning the Auxiliary Handle
- Stop the machine and remove the battery. Wait until the blade comes to a complete stop.
- Loosen the auxiliary handle. Turn the handle knob counterclockwise.
- Rotate the handle. Move the auxiliary handle to a comfortable position.
- Tighten the handle knob. Secure the auxiliary handle before reinstalling the battery.
Getting Started
- Inspect the area. Remove stones, toys, and other objects the rotor could pick up and throw.
- Confirm assembly. Make sure the pole hardware and auxiliary handle are secure.
- Prepare the battery. Charge a compatible battery before use when needed.
- Insert the battery. Slide it into the battery compartment until it clicks into position.
- Start the snow shovel. Press and hold the safety lock switch, then squeeze the trigger switch. Release the safety lock once the machine starts.
- Clear at a comfortable pace. Move slowly enough to clear the path completely.
- Direct the discharge. Use the angle control lever to send snow left or right.
- Stop the unit. Release the trigger switch.
Operating tips: Throw snow downwind and slightly overlap each pass. For deeper drifts, hold the upper and auxiliary handles and use a swinging or sweeping motion, removing up to 6 inches of snow per pass.
Gravel or crushed rock: The manual says to push down on the handle to keep the scraper blade clear of loose material that the rotor blades could throw.
Maintenance + Care
Remove the battery before maintenance, inspection, cleaning, or storage.
