Some accessories from other brands may be used with certain Sun Joe SPX Series pressure washers when the connection style is compatible or when an appropriate Sun Joe adapter is available.
Accessory connections are not the same across every pressure washer model, so always confirm your exact model and connection type before purchasing or installing an accessory.
Can I Use Another Brand's Accessory?
In some cases, yes. Shop Joe offers adapters that can allow certain SPX Series pressure washers to connect with accessories that use different standard pressure-washer connections.
Do not assume an accessory is compatible based only on the M22 name. M22 connections can use different internal diameters and some Sun Joe pressure washers use quick-connect or bayonet-style connections instead.
Why Does the Connection Type Matter?
Official Sun Joe pressure-washer hoses and accessories use several different connection styles depending on the model.
What Official Sun Joe Adapters Are Available?
SPX-M22M2F Adapter: This official Sun Joe adapter converts a 14 mm M22 male connection to a 15 mm M22 female connection. Shop Joe identifies its use as an adapter for using other-brand accessories with SPX Series pressure washers.
SPX-BMM22F Adapter: This official adapter converts a compatible Sun Joe bayonet trigger-gun connection to an M22 14 mm connection.
Shop Joe specifically lists this adapter for the SPX200, SPX1000, SPX2000, SPX6000, and SPX7000 Series.
How Do I Check Compatibility?
-
Find Your Pressure Washer Model Number
Identify the complete model number of your Sun Joe pressure washer before selecting a hose, wand, gun, or adapter.
-
Check the Model-Specific Connection
Review the operator's manual or official Shop Joe accessory information to determine which connection style is used by your pressure washer.
-
Check the Accessory Connection
Confirm the connection type and fitting dimensions of the accessory you want to use.
-
Use an Approved Adapter When Applicable
If your pressure washer and accessory use different supported connections, check whether Shop Joe lists an official Sun Joe adapter for that combination.

Important Compatibility Reminder
A fitting that looks similar does not necessarily mean the accessory is compatible with your pressure washer.
Always confirm the pressure washer model, connection style, and accessory compatibility before installation.
